It's ok la.Our shift is from 11-4 so met jolene at 10am at khatib first before proceeding to Outram park to collect tins. Then we went to City hall first, then like not really a lot of people, so we go raffles place. We not inside the shopping centre yet, it's only the border of the mrt station and shopping centre, then the security guard come and chase us away. Then, we go outside the shopping centre like out of the shopping centre, the security guard still chase us away. So in the end we went to the other exit of Raffles place and asked for donations. Until like about 12.30, i asked jolene whether want go eat lunch, so we went to orchard, lucky plaza there the macs to eat lunch. Eat until very full:D Then, we cont., decided to stop moving around so just stone outside TANGS, then the security come tell us, "Don't stay here too long, it's private property, move around like walk here and there" then i was like thinking, "If we still outside tangs, does it make a difference whether we move a not? very -.- leh" Want to ask for donations must be very think-skinned one lor. "Excuse me, would you like to donate to SPD(society for physically disabled)?" 4 responses commonly sighted: 1. Look at you like you some clown performing, with that amused look on their face and carry on walking!(quite weird and funny la, we are just asking for donation(: ) 2. Look at you and smile and politely decline( still ok la, some no change or some other reasons) 3. Walk up to donate/ or donate when you ask( this one is the happiest one la, haha, esp when they just walk up though some just trying to get rid of their coins but at least they donated:D ) 4. Saw you from the corner of their eyes and COMPLETELY DAO YOU!( this one is the most qi4 si3 ren2 one, but cannot say anything, also got no rule say they must donate but they totally just dao you, like never even look, look everywhere except at you:( ) HAHA. i still like response no. 3, who doesn't? The caucasians are more generous and kind, compared to s'poreans. Got 1 caucasian stick out his chest and like indicate for me to help him put, jolene also experienced the same thing. So i was thinking "my goodness. aiya, nvm, just help him stick near the shoulder!" *so i stick on his shoulder, so scary. better don't anyhow touch* At about 3, we rested at some place in a shoe department on the seat, then got this person looked at us, then giggled and run away. Jolene burst out laughing, i also laughed:) At 3.30, we decided to make our way back to outram, so on the way, the busker sing until very nice, then i stood there wait for him, then ask him what's the title of the song and donated money:D After finish returning the tin, there was this Crescent girl, quite brave, i think her shift is 2-7, so she was like, "Please support the physically disabled!" like in a confident and convincing tone, then this group of guys walked past her and started mocking her, like among themselves but it was pretty obvious la, what's their problem can? lame, nth better to do! Meaningful day. After going home, did some work before going to run 5.2km with my sister and father:D haha, feel so accomplised |
